Parkesbourne Solar Farm
A proposed solar project in the Southern Tablelands of NSW
Creating clean energy, value and opportunity
Creating value & opportunities through renewable energy
Parkesbourne Solar Farm is a proposed development on agricultural land approximately 15 km west of Goulburn, NSW. The site is well suited to solar generation due to its flat terrain, low density of rural residential dwellings and proximity to existing transmission infrastructure.
Parkesbourne Solar Farm will play an important role in increasing competition in the energy sector and reducing the market reliance on fossil fuel generation.
The proposed project capacity is approximately 600 MW, which would generate enough energy for over 254,000 homes* and would save over a million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions every year.
*(Based on an average NSW household electricity consumption of 7.3 MWh annually.)
