The Atrium Artist’s Impression

Celebrating local history while quietly creating it.

Atria’s striking contemporary design incorporates brick façades, raw materials, and utilitarian lines to complement the natural and urban environment of the surrounding area.

Atria gets its name from its vast, central open-air garden atrium that provides for a central private residents-only space and a tranquil transition to your home. With most apartments encircling this sky-lit inner court, arrival and departure is facilitated via a system of beautiful ‘floating’ boardwalks, which vault over evergreen landscaped gardens below. This central, private sanctuary, also provides cross-ventilation opportunities to apartments that face onto this space – a rare and priceless opportunity in apartment living.

The ground floor piazza will deliver cafés, boutique stores and a Supabarn Supermarket — providing for your daily, fresh fruit and vegetable, gourmet deli and BYO needs within the convenience of a local shopfront.

The ground floor includes a 3,500m2 Supabarn Farmers Market and 1,200m2 of specialty retailers with 407 retail basement car parking spots to Eyre Street; while Atria itself will deliver 142 luxury one, two and three-bedroom apartments on the upper levels with their own private, separated, podium parking level on level 1. Apartments are double-glazed throughout.

The Interiors

Peter Maxwell Reeve

Described by Vogue magazine as a ‘remarkable talent’, leading Australian interior designer Peter Maxwell Reeve is at the centre of a broad practice spanning luxury domestic, commercial, medium-to-high density and corporate environments. His ability to challenge the boundaries of form and function, in order to create designs that work flawlessly and appeal to the most astute aesthetic eye, has given him a reputation for outstanding quality and originality. And this is reflected in his enviable client list – even the fashion house Chanel have enlisted his services. Peter has overseen the design of our three colour schemes and the interior design of all Atria apartments.

The Developer

Atria is a joint venture between KG Capitol and PEET Australia. KG Capitol are responsible for some of Canberra’s most popular residential, mixed-use and commercial projects, while PEET (formerly CIC Australia) are renowned for their attention to detail and considered approach to urban liveability, making them one of the country’s most progressive and awarded developers. Together they share a commitment to generating investment opportunities in emerging areas as a means of revitalising communities and providing necessary urban infrastructure for growth. Their partnership is enabled by a shared passion for creating high-quality residential living which contribute and complement their surroundings.

The Architect

Cox Architecture

Designed by influential Australian practice, Cox Architecture, Atria’s design is inspired by the company’s guiding design philosophy of creating spaces inspired by Structure, Craft, Art and Nature. Atria embodies these principles in the form and structure of the separate buildings, the design of the floating atrium bridges, the garden atria itself in the heart of the tower structures, the outlook over Green Square and its treed canopy, and more. The orientation of the buildings provides maximum opportunity for solar passive design in the apartments, ventilation and privacy; and many have views across Green Square and even to Parliament House.
